As you know, a Government Bill to legalise voluntary assisted dying will be introduced into the State Parliament this year. We need to work hard to ensure its safe passage through the Parliament. It has never been so important for the strong and unified voice of 88% of Western Australians who support voluntary assisted dying to be heard.
To do this, we need to run a grassroots community campaign. The focus of the campaign is to find people who are willing to share their stories and reasons for supporting voluntary assisted dying.
Sign up if you feel strongly that voluntary assisted dying should be a lawful choice to end suffering at the end of life and want to volunteer and get active in their community.
Volunteers can help by organising and running one street stall in their community, encouraging and helping people share their stories or reasons for supporting voluntary assisted dying with State Members of Parliament, local and state-wide newspapers, on Facebook and through talkback radio. Volunteers are provided with training and support.
Please sign up and we will have our Community Campaign Coordinator get in touch.
2019 is the most critical year of our campaign to give people freedom of choice to end suffering at the end of life. We are now closer than ever before to seeing voluntary assisted dying legislated in Western Australia. Together we can make this happen.
